Going on Holiday! Summer Adult Short Course Details
Camps available in Mandarin, Spanish, French, & Arabic
Have fun & grow your travel language skills in this introductory, week-long language & culture short course. Classes focus on practicing basic travel vocab, learning cultural norms, & sampling traditional treats while making new friends! This class is for absolute beginners and those with little experience with the language.
Bozeman Resident Cost $185 for Half Day Camps (9am-12pm) Non-Bozeman Resident Cost $259 for Half Day Camps (9am-12pm)

Parent / guardians are required to take their camper's temperature each morning before coming to camp
A parent / guardian must sign their camper in each day, verifying that they do not have any COVID-19 symptoms and that their temperature was taken at home that morning and read normal
Summer Language & Culture Camps will mainly focus on outdoor activities
While indoors, all campers & staff are required to wear face coverings and practice physical distancing
Campers are required to bring their own lunch & snacks and are advised not to share with others

Meet our newest french coach
Introducing Naomi Shafer, WLI-MT's newest French Coach!
Naomi Shafer is a clown and a producer. She uses humor, playfulness and physical storytelling to turn power dynamics upside down. As the Executive Director of Clowns Without Borders USA, she produces clown tours in refugee camps, conflict zones and sites of natural disaster. She holds a B.A. from Middlebury College, an M.B.A. from Marlboro College, and a rubber chicken from the San Francisco Circus Center Clown Conservatory. Naomi grew up in Vermont, where she started learning french in Kindergarten. She learned Russian as a teenager when she went to Moscow to clown. She has been studying Spanish since 2018, when she organized a clown tour to Guatemala, following the eruption Volcan de Fuego.
