Built around the need for thinking globally and acting locally, the Arabic Initiative is designed to give students an opportunity to learn about a language and culture that may otherwise remain unfamiliar.
This initiative was set in motion by a US State Department “Teachers of Critical Languages” grant, in which WLI hosted Egyptian and Moroccan visiting teachers from 2017-2020.
In partnership with Montana State University, we currently work with local native speakers of Arabic including MSU faculty members to grow Arabic language programming in the community.
