WLI-MT is a small non-profit that provides educational programming & services to create language and culture learning opportunities for all Montanans.
This part-time teaching opportunity is for highly proficient, fluent or native speakers during the school year (October through April). We are seeking new coaches who have an aptitude and passion for language and culture education. Seeking Language Coaches for Mandarin, French, Spanish, German, & Arabic!
Successful Language Coaches are strong in the following 4 skill areas: 1) Have experience or connect well with young kids (ages 5-11) 2) Are highly proficient or fluent in the target language 3) Are organized and self-reliant 4) Have strong communication skills
Potential teaching opportunities for World Language Coaches include :
Teaching In-School Day Language Classes (at Bozeman-area public & private elementary schools)
Teaching After-School Small Group Language Classes (at The World Language office in The Emerson Center)
Teaching Summer Language Camps (at The Story Mansion)
Teaching Adult Language Classes (at The World Language office in The Emerson Center)
Help spark a love for language & culture in the community! Get paired with a Language Coach, many of whom are certified teachers, native language speakers, & fellow MSU grads. Language Teaching Assistants will work closely with World Language Coaches to deliver fun & engaging language instruction to K-5 students. Current MSU Students are eligible to earn 1 credit through the MSU Modern Languages Department through the following Assistantship Programs.
Summer Language Teaching Assistantship Details :
Summer Camps are M-F, 9am-3pm (Teaching Assistants must commit to full Camp)
Teaching Assistants will be paid a small stipend upon completion of their assistantship
Teaching Assistants must have own transportation to The Story Mansion (where camps are held)
In School Day Language Teaching Assistantship Details :
Teaching Assistants will be paid a small stipend upon completion of their assistantship
Teaching Assistants will work with MSU Modern Languages Department to receive 1 MSU credit
Teaching Assistants must have own transportation to the elementary school where they are placed
Middle & High School Language Teaching Assistantship Program
Are you interested in world languages & cultures? Do you enjoy helping younger students? Help out at a World Language Summer Camp this year at the historic Story Mansion! Language Camp Assistants will work closely with World Language Coaches to deliver fun & engaging language instruction to K-5 students through WLI-MT Summer Language Immersion Camps. Language Camp Assistants will help lead games, art activities, cooking demonstrations, & more!
